GHBGHB is an anabolic steroid that is abused for a number of reasons and GHB is actually one of the few drugs to increase in usage over the past couple of years according to the Monitoring the Future study of the NIDA. GHB is short for gamma-hydroxybutyrate and was outlawed from over-the-counter sales after significant abuse patterns emerged. GHB is widely known as a "date-rape" drug because it has heavy sedative and euphoric effects. Since GHB is a steroid, bodybuilders abuse the drug for increased skeletal muscle growth. GHB is a central nervous system depressant much like barbiturates and Rohypnol. Like all drugs, GHB has severe side-effects and consequences. Increased blood pressure, liver problems, wild mood swings and violent behavior are all symptoms of abuse. Increased sweating, nausea, headaches, tremors and impaired breathing are also common effects. Like other drugs, addiction to GHB is a reality for those susceptible to addiction. Physical withdrawal symptoms from GHB include insomnia, anxiety and sweating. Treatment Referral has a treatment plan to address the specialized needs
of our clients who wish to stop GHB abuse. We hope that you will call
us today before the physical symptoms become any worse. Left untreated,
addiction always progresses. Call Today. 800.399.3612 |
